Overview

We are seeking a team player for the Chip Runner (Assistant Floorperson) who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion to delight and astound our guests, and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service.

 

Qualified candidate for the Chip Runner is responsible for purchasing chips for customers and dealers’ while providing excellent customer service and manage designated podium and key.

Responsibilities

  • Buy chips for customers and dealers while ensuring the correct denomination and
    amount is purchased as per customer’s requests.
  • Takes customer’s names and placing in appropriate board order.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to chip purchases.
  • Maintain designated podium ensuring it is clean and organized.
  • Handles cash transactions security, accurately maintain balanced cash drawer and
    safeguards key.
  • Assists with jackpots payouts.
  • Accurately enters data into the Bravo, CMS system.
  • Monitors chip inventory levels and requests replenishment as needed.
  • Seats players at appropriate tables in proper order.
  • Assists players in getting service.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements of Title 31/AML compliance.
  • Assist in administering promotions.
  • Displays knowledge of player/guest tendencies, habits and likes.
  • Anticipate the needs of player/guest.
  • Brings new decks of cards to the Dealers when requested
  • Verifies collection procedures, spot checks and reports to Floor person that collection drops are being made.
  • Recommends the need for new games to the Floor person and/or Dealer Coordinator.
  • Stay on task - Stay in assigned area during shift, limit unnecessary non-work related-conversation, and fulfill all
  • tasks in a timely manner.
  • Keep gaming floor and work area clean. Is responsible for the ensuring the
    maintenance of a pristine environment for our guests and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check, credit, and drug test
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license and a California Gambling Control Commission issued Key Employee License
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Interacts well with guests and co-workers
  • Available for full time work, open availability which will include weekends and evenings
  • Excellent communication skills; able to interact with, understand and respond to common complaints and inquiries
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent math and problem-solving skills; able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentage ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Basic computer program and key boarding proficiency.
  • Knowledge in the safe and appropriate use of tools and procedures related to the essential functions of the job

Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience: Two to four years in a customer-service position or similar environment or combination of education or experience.

Physical and mental requirements:

  • Required to stand and walk short distances upwards of two or three hours at a time.
  • Regularly required to see, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
