Overview

Parkwest is seeking for a Sr. Lead Card Control! 

As a Sr. Lead for the Card Control; candidate assists the Surveillance Manager with overseeing card processes in the Card Control area and maintaining quality standard for efficient operation by performing the assigned duties below either personally or through subordinate staff.   



Responsibilities

  • Oversees Card Control team members to ensure quality and quantity standards are met for his/her assigned shifts.
  • Overall responsible for the training for new Card Control Staff. 
  • Objectively evaluates current staff and makes necessary recommendations to Surveillance Manager for appraisal, discipline and all aspects of performance by following company policy procedures. issues disciplinary action/performance appraisals once approved by Surveillance manager or Human Resources. 
  • Helps the shift answer calls, clean cards and keep the Card Control room stocked with cards.
  • Keeps the attendance log updated, take sick calls and makes sure the shift is covered. Responsible for calling in employees and/or having them stay overtime when necessary.
  • Other duties include but are not limited to checking video of Card Control related issues; ordering supplies and maintaining inventory log sheets and assist with the monthly card inventory. Will also assist in contacting prospective applicants and setting up interviews; checks emails to stay up to date with gaming floor changes and notifies staff of those changes. 
  • Communicates with Card Control regarding problems and issues and informs Department Head. 
  • Maintains familiarity with Parkwest Bicycle Casino policies and procedures and other applicable regulations.
  • Reports all unusual incidents or discrepancies during the shift; receives and puts away card shipments.
  • Maintains cultural sensitivity at all times.
  • Ensures proper and economical use of hazardous materials, equipment, supplies and facility.
  • Assist in orientation and training of any new staff member or temporary worker.
  • Must be available to work on call and overtime when necessary.
  • Must be available to work all shifts as needed.
  • Other job related duties as assigned by Surveillance Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • In this position will be required to perform certain of the essential job duties in a patio environment where smoking is permitted.

Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent.

 

Experience: 1-2 years experience in a casino environment. Casino card games a plus. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook. 

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
  • Position may require exposure to excessive noise.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
