We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Maintenance/ Engineer to join our team! We are seeking a team player who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion and that will take pride in their work. 

The Maintenance/ Engineer position performs work involving the skills of two or more maintenance craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, tile work, cleaning, carpentry, gardening, painting and plastering of the building structure by performing the following responsibilities below. 

• Duties may involve pipe fitting, boiler repair, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, troubleshooting electrical equipment; installing, aligning equipment.
• Repairs leaks, unclog drains, and addresses plumbing issues as they are needed. Maintain water distribution and sewage systems.  Performs some carpentry tasks, including repairing doors, windows and furniture.
• Assists with painting projects to maintain the aesthetics of the facility.
• Responds promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as leaks, power outages and equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruptions.
• Adheres to a preventive maintenance schedule by conducting routine inspections, lubrications, and replacements to prevent breakdowns.
• Performs heating, ventilation and air conditioning system maintenance including filter replacement, cleaning and minor repairs to ensure efficient climate control.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace electrical components such as switches, outlets and light fixtures. Ensures electrical systems are safe and operational.
• Performs other repairs and general maintenance duties as instructed by manager.
• Identifies and repairs equipment or areas that could be hazardous immediately and does daily reports to Supervisor/Management.
• Repairs machines, equipment, structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches or equipment such as precision measuring instructions.
• Answers and responds to service calls as they come through.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager/Supervisor.

• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
• Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members.
• Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work within a team environment.

Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent.

Experience: At least 2-3 years proven experience in facility maintenance or related field. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues accurately. Knowledge of safety procedures.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move and/or carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds
• Able to regularly stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
