Parkwest Bicycle Casino located in Bell Gardens, California is seeking for a Warehouse & Storeroom Lead to join our Team! 

 

As a Warehouse & Storeroom Lead you are responsible to professionally lead the daily storeroom operations, oversee inventory control, support operations, organized, safety-focused, and ready to lead by performing duties either personally or through subordinates.

• Assists the Supervisor in ensuring policies, procedures and controls are followed within the Receiving/Storeroom operations.
• Reviews receiving documents and requisitions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Turns in all daily inventories to the Purchasing department and month-end reports to reflect all department activities.
• Responsible for ensuring that only the best qualify food items are received as specified in the purchase order.
• Reviews receiving documents and requisitions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure that only items listed on the purchase order are received.
• Assist and may coordinate the monthly inventory count, prepares totals of inventory by category.
• Coordinate implementation of any food inventory control process and maintenance of the Berg Liquor system.
• May assist in planning work schedules and assigns duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
• Trains all subordinates appropriately to ensure all procedures are being followed according to company policies and procedures.
• Ensures that stocks are rotated for freshness and that distribution of goods throughout the casino is more efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Licensed and able to operate a Fork-lift.
• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
• Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members.
• Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• Must have Food Handler Certificate
• Must possess valid license with good driving record.

Education: Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college; technical school or two years in a related field or combination of experience/training.

Experience: Two years in a lead or supervisory capacity and/or similar position.

 

• Qualified individuals must be able to regularly stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs.
• Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, move and/or carry up to 25lbs and frequently up to 50lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in smoking environment.
