Overview

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking for a Housekeeping Operations Supervisor (Swing/Graveyard).  Keep it Clean. Keep it Organized. Lead the Way!

 

This role is an entry level management position that focuses on supporting the day-to-day activities in the Housekeeping department, creates a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Housekeeping Operations in all shifts.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff in public and gaming areas as well as offices.
  • Assign daily tasks and schedules based on operational needs.
  • Inspects areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues and compliance with standards.
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
  • Train new staff in cleaning techniques, safety procedures and company policies.
  • Monitor staff and provide feedback, coaching or corrective action when necessary.
  • Forster team work and maintain staff morale.
  • Respond to guest requests, complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain housekeeping records (attendance, inspections, maintenance logs, inventory).
  • Support budgeting and cost control effort.
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date; conducts Safety Training to all team members.
  • Support training initiatives for all current and new employees.
  • Uses checklists to successfully complete the task.
  • May be asked to participate in the investigation of employee accidents when needed or will escalate issue to HR.
  • Communicate performance expectations to Housekeeping employees in accordance with job descriptions for each position and monitors progress.
  • Observe service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals; continuously strives to improve service performance.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Communicates areas in need of attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
  • Handle employee progressive disciplinary procedures as required.
  • Participate in the employee performance appraisal process, giving feedback as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in housekeeping systems/software (e.g., Opera, HotSOS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to write incident reports effectively.
  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to effectively interact well with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

Experience: 3–5 years of housekeeping experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.


Physical and Mental Requirement:

  • Qualified individuals must be able to regularly stand and walk the premises.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, move and/or carry up to 25lbs and frequently up to 50lbs with assistance or with appropriate equipment.
