Overview

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated F&B Manager to join our team and make a real difference in our guest’s experience! The F&B Manager will execute the highest level of service standards to our appreciated guests by being the face of the restaurant/bar. This position is the perfect opportunity for a confident experienced individual with a great understanding of how to provide fantastic hospitality. 

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the supervision of staff for food outlets assigned during the shift.
  2. Will set goals for the work staff, developing organizational capability, and modeling Parkwest Culture of Excellence.
  3. Develop and implement F&B strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  4. Set and achieve revenue targets, budgeting, and cost control measures.
  5. Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and prepares reports for senior management.
  6. Ensure menu offerings are appealing, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  7. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
  8. Monitor food trends and incorporate them into menu planning as appropriate.
  9. Train and supervise F&B staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  10. Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
  11. Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  12. Monitor inventory costs and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.
  13. Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and Conduct training programs for F&B staff on service standards, product knowledge, and safety procedures.
  14. Keeps a high profile in the food outlets and events that require F&B inclusion.
  15. Ensures and oversees full compliance of Health Code regulations in all areas.
  16. Coaches assigned team members to perform at their best, resolve performance problems, and provides regular and constructive performance feedback.
  17. Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background and credit check, and drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license.
  • Skilled problem solver. Computer skills with the ability to use computers and related technology to preform fundamental tasks, i.e., use email system, make presentations, work with application software, access databases, etc. Proficiency in MS Office a plus.
  • Can multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent skills in customer relations.
  • Able to command the respect of team members and lead them successfully.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience of best practices, laws and regulations, policies and procedures or be capable of learning the aforementioned within the probationary period.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, professional journals and government regulations.
  • Able to write concise reports and business correspondence.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers or upper management.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5years equivalent experience in management, hospitality services, business administration or other field related to gaming; restaurant and/or hospitality. Combination of education and/or experience will also be accepted.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business Administration or related field required Food Manager Certification and RBS exam completion required for this job.

 

Physical and mental requirements:

  • Must be able to assist with minor lifting if necessary to assist other team members.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
  • Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
