Overview

Mail Clerk role plays a key part in ensuring smooth communication and efficient mail distribution througout Parkwest Bicycle Casino.

Mail Clerk will collects and distributes U.S. and internal mail and controls the ordering and distribution of standard office supplies by performing the duties outlined below.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Controls the ordering, stocking, inventory and distribution of standard office supplies and maintains those supplies.
  2. Assists Purchasing Agent and Sr Buyer.
  3. Provides a monthly summary of requisitions/inventory by department to the Purchasing Agent and Accounting.
  4. Prepares purchase order requisitions for the Purchasing Agent when restocking office supplies.
  5. Picks up and delivers mail twice a day for all departments.
  6. Works with hotel front desk and Manager when there are packages addressed to guests or hotel staff.
  7. Stamps outgoing mail before delivering to Post Office.
  8. Maintains a log of postage used.
  9. Prepares check requests to replenish postage meter.
  10. Logs all received boxes and shipments with tracking numbers and retains records.
  11. Returns items as requested by Purchasing Agent or Senior Buyer.
  12. Will assist with water delivery, dry goods to the Administration offices.
  13. May be asked to assist the Warehouse when needed.
  14. Able to operate company vehicle.
  15. Maintains a safe, clean and security work environment.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by Purchasing Agent or Senior Buyer.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Must possess valid license with good driving record.

 

Education:

High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent.

 

Experience:

6 months to 1 year experience in similar position or combination of education and/or experience and training.


Physical and Mental Requirement:

  • Qualified individuals must be able to regularly stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, move and/or carry up to 25lbs and frequently up to 50lbs.
