Overview

We are seeking a team player for the Chip Runner (Gaming Poker Floor Section) who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion to delight and astound our guests, and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service.

 

Qualified candidate for the Chip Runner for the gaming poker floor section is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensure a superior customer experience on the Gaming floor for card room patrons.

Responsibilities

  1. Must have full knowledge of all monthly casino promotions.
  2. Observe and report on all aspects of games, rules, procedures and check for any irregular activities.
  3. Displays working knowledge of all games offered in the casino.
  4. Displays working knowledge of Title 31 regulations.
  5. Time management, including developing the dealer rotation, etc.
  6. Perform regular table touches, greeting guest and making self-available to dealers and chip runners.
  7. Assist in administering promotions.
  8. Displays knowledge of player/guest tendencies, habits and likes.
  9. Anticipate the needs of player/guest.
  10. Seats players at appropriate tables.
  11. Runs checks to the Cage for players' chips.
  12. Brings new decks of cards to the Dealers when requested
  13. Verifies collection procedures, spot checks and reports to Floorperson that collection drops are being made.
  14. Takes names on the boards as needed. Keeps track of players waiting for seats to open in games.
  15. Recommends the need for new games to the Floorperson and/or Dealer Coordinator.
  16. Stay on task - Stay in assigned area during shift, limit unnecessary non-work related conversation, and fulfill all tasks in a timely manner.
  17. Keep gaming floor and work area clean. Is responsible for the ensuring the maintenance of a pristine environment for our guests and team members. Accurately enters data into the LGS, Everi, rotation logs, and guest count logs.
  18. Completes all gaming related closing tasks, including witnessing the surrendering of all outstanding dealer banks with the appropriate cage staff and conducts a final walk through of the gaming floor ensuring that gaming related items are secured and collected as appropriate.
  19. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four years in a customer-service position or similar environment.
  • Open availability to work Day, Swing or Graveyard.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.

Physical and mental requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
  • Position may require exposure to excessive noise.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
