We are seeking a Poker Host for our gaming section here at Parkwest Bicycle Casino! Who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion to delight and astound our guests, and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service. 

 

A Poker Host plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience at the casino by providing exceptional customer service and personalized attention to high-value players. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with guests and acts as a liaison between casino and patrons.

1. Liaison between players and Management and any independent promoters.
2. Assists and makes recommendations to Management in all aspects of public relations services provided by the casino for the enjoyment of the players.
3. Maintains a list of section players and contacts them regularly to start/maintain a game(s). Fosters good relations with all players and encourages play in the hosted games.
4. Coordinates services between players and the casino and facilities and assists in implementation of promotions and special events with prior approvals from the Casino Manager.
5. Represents the casino in answering all customer inquiries.
6. Assists in starting new games and may play games in an ethical, professional and effective manner.
7. Regardless of knowledge, this position does not have the authority to make decisions and may not make decisions on a gaming dispute while at a game at Parkwest Bicycle Casino.
8. Must have full knowledge of all games the individual has been assigned to host.
9. Maintain positive customer relations at all times. Anticipate customers’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all customers at all times.
10. Monitor and maintain cleanliness in casino floor and follows up with assigned personnel for service.
11. Must be available to work all shifts and including weekends, holidays, overtime when needed.
12. Other job-related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check, and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Available for work which may include weekends and evening scheduling and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.

• Able to work within a team environment.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree desired.

 

Experience: 3-5 years of gaming experience required. Strong background in customer service and card games.
