Overview

We are seeking a team player for the F & B Restaurant Server position who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion to delight and astound our guests, and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service. As a Food & Beverage Restaurant Server will create a hospitable environment for the customers by providing excellent customer food order service throughout the casino floors. You will be responsible for food & beverage order taking throughout the casino floor via mobile tablets by performing the following duties listed below.

Responsibilities

  1. Food and Beverage Restaurant Server will take orders for food and beverage from seated customers through a mobile/table device.
  2. Responsible for issuing receipts and collect payment from customers.
  3. Qualified candidate must be thoroughly knowledgeable in all food items so orders are taken accurately and correctly; demonstrating this knowledge when making recommendations about menu, food items and drinks.
  4. Adheres to local liquor and food handling laws to include stopping alcohol orders at the correct times and will assist in clearing floor from bottles.
  5. Team player will assist others in replenishing condiments, cleaning silverware, menus and other items as needed.
  6. Provides a memorable guest experience by interacting with the guests and providing prompt and courteous service.
  7. As needed, welcomes and escorts guests through the designated waiting area.
  8. Must be able to concentrate and work in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions
  9. Ensures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies and facility. Ensures work area is maintained in safe condition.
  10. Must be able to communicate clearly with staff members and customers.
  11. Must be available on call and to work overtime when necessary and available to work any given shift including weekends and holidays.
  12. Other job-related duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency degree (GED) preferred.
  • Six (6) months related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have active Californis Food Handlers Certificate/Card. 
  • This position requires active RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certification.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Open availability to work Day, Swing or Graveyard.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.

Physical and mental requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
  • Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
